This specific filing number was the one that revolutionized modern communication: U.S. Patent No. 174,465. Alexander Graham Bell uttered the phrase that marked a new era of communication. On March 10th, his assistant, Thomas Watson, heard through the device: “Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you!” It wasn't just a call for help; it was the moment physical distance began to die. The telephone was not just a machine; it was the first time we could feel someone's presence, even from miles away.
